For this piece I drew inspiration from looking into the music genre of punk. I wanted to portray the elements of rebellion, anarchy and chaos, which is so highly associated with this type of music. The punk movement was not only a music revelation, but also a way of life. The handmade canvas incorporates a black stripe running horizontally down the canvas. Creating this acted as a boundary to the chaotic painting, representing the underground nature of the punk movement and the way in which society tried to disassociate themselves with this minority of free thinking and rebellious individuals.
